Celebrate the soul of Mongolia with this unique unisex sweatshirt featuring a custom illustration inspired by traditional Mongolian music and nomadic life. At the heart of the design is the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), a deeply personal centerpiece representing a cherished instrument bought in Amsterdam in 2022 and gifted to my Mongolian Altai Harp teacher, who named it Khüren Khalzan Khuur.
Surrounding this centerpiece are other iconic instruments: the Tovshuur (2-stringed lute), the resonant Bugan Yatga (deep harp), the ancient Ikel (precursor to the Morin Khuur), and the haunting Tsuur flute. These instruments are gathered around the Toono, the circular crown of the yurt — a powerful symbol of connection and tradition in Mongolian culture.
In the center of the Toono, you'll find the Khas Temdeg, an ancient swastika symbol still used in Mongolia today, representing eternity and harmony. At the bottom of the design sits the traditional Ger — the Mongolian yurt — symbolizing home, resilience, and nomadic spirit.
This sweatshirt is more than a garment — it's a tribute to heritage, music, and meaningful moments. Wear it with pride and let the music of Mongolia travel with you.
